Ami Makadia

I am a hardworking student who attended an arts and technology high school for theater technology. As a result, I spent a lot of time developing leadership and time management skills. Also, I have worked in teams very often during that time. I am looking to major in psychology in order to learn more about human behavior. I wish to continue on to medical school in order to become a doctor. At the University of Maryland, my main goals are to meet new people and expand my horizons. I want to play sports and continue doing what I love. I hope to learn about other areas of study as well as my own major. I am very passionate about art and other creative activities since I am a hands-on learner and worker. I hope to get a valuable experience from Media Scholars and learn how to better use media to my advantage as well as to become a better and more active consumer of media. I also hope to use scholars as a way to make UMD’s large community a smaller one and have a home base to be able to come back to, almost like a family.
